Salt Dough Ornaments

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup Warm Water
  • 2-3 Tbsp Flour


  1. Start by mixing together the flour, salt and cinnamon in a bowl.

  2. Add in the warm water and stir until everything is combined.

  3. Finish by adding in the rest of the flour to make the dough from a sticky dough ball to a ball that is able to be rolled out. 

  4. Roll out the dough on some parchment paper until 1/4 -1/2 inch thick. 

  5. Cut out into desired shapes and place on another sheet of parchment paper (make sure they aren't touching). 

  6. Use a straw to create a hole on the top of your shape (for a string to go into later).

  7. Let the ornaments dry for 1-2 days. Flipping them over every 10-12 hours.

  8. Once they are completely dry, tie a string of your choice through the hole and hang them on your tree!
