Let’s talk stockings! Gift giving is my love lan Let’s talk stockings! Gift giving is my love language, because of that I’m usually preparing for Christmas months in advance 😅 I try to give my family & friends practical gifts, especially my kids. I love to fill their stocks with things they will use all year round and support brands we love. It doesn’t have to be complicated and it doesn’t have to be expensive!

This year the kids stocking will have:
- Candle making kits (bought on sale this summer from @enchantedforesttoys)
- Aprons
- Bandages @getwelly
- Active Skin Repair @bldgactive (bought these last year too and we almost at the bottom of our bottles)
- Propolis immune support spray @beekeepers_naturals
- Lip balm @farmsteadapothecary
- Yotos stories @yotoplay (bought by grandma)
- Card games @enchantedforesttoys
- Art supplies
- Candies @sunshinehealthfoods
- Hair accessories

On Christmas Eve I’ll finish out their stockings with some snack from our kitchen, probably apples, oranges, sparkling water and a bag of fresh popcorn.

Other thing in the past we have loved:
- Floss picks
- Toothbrushes
- Magnesium lotion @earthleywellness
- Tongue scraper
- Books
- Pajamas
- Stickers
- Socks
- Hand warmers
- Their favorite little toys that’s we already owed (Put them in the garage about a month before Christmas, so it felt like they were new!)
- Silk scarves @sarahssilks
- Face paint
- Homemade playdough
- Homemade cookies
- Bubble bath
- Headlamps (staple for winter play in Alaska)
- Nail polish @piggypaint
- Monkey string

I would love to hear what’s going on your families stockings this year! Share below ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Homemade Christmas is my favorite kind 🖤 We us Homemade Christmas is my favorite kind 🖤

We used this beautiful fabric from @simply_merino Last year I purchased a couple of their craft boxes and we have used them for endless craft projects. I love that they repurpose all of their textile scraps and prevent them from going the trash! We then tied to each strip onto some twine. Quick, easy and beautiful.
This was one of the first winters I’ve embraced This was one of the first winters I’ve embraced the change in seasons. Last year, I truly made space for the slow. I read books to help change my mindset and created traditions to continue every winter.

We celebrate winter as a whole family, the same way we do summer. We prioritize outside time and dress appropriately. We spend more time in the kitchen, baking and creating warm meals. Our house full of twinkle lights and candles. Coloring or journaling under candle light has quickly become one of my favorite things ever. We play more games and read longer stories. T is getting so good at games and asks to play them multiple times a day.

The winter season just screams slow down, to me. I’m happily listening ❤️
Traveling alone with kids is one of the most exhau Traveling alone with kids is one of the most exhausting things ever but I truly love being able to be with my family ❤️
