Most Used Hair Products of 2018

As an athlete, hair has never been a priority in my life. I live for a great bun and I would rather spend my time on makeup rather than hair. 2018 changed my view on having a hair routine. I experienced a little bit of postpartum depression and whenever my hair was styled I felt better about myself. Here are my 5 most used hair products of 2018.

Biolage Cooling Mint Shampoo

I struggle with an extremely dry scalp (the cold/dry climate in Alaska is definitely to blame), but if I use to many hydrating products on my hair, I will get hairline pimples. This year I discovered Biolage scalpsync shampoo and conditioner. Since using these products I have noticed a big difference in my scalp. The best part about this shampoo/conditioner is that my hair comes out extremely soft verses other brands I have tried for scalp care, that dry my hair out. The only down side to these products is they will BLEACH your towels. When I wash my hair I make sure to dry it with a white towel.

Aveda Smooth Infusion Style-Prep

This is the best styling product I have found and it works amazing with my wavy hair texture. I can use it whether my hair is dry or wet and it protects against heat. No matter how I style my hair this style-prep makes it look its best.

Tangle Teezer Wet or Dry Detangling Hairbrush

I brush my hair the most when it is wet, right after I get out of the shower. The tangle teezer works great on wet hair and gets out all of my knots. It has definitely become my favorite hair brush.

NuMe Curling Wand

Before this year I preferred straightening my hair over curling it. I really tried to focus on appreciating my wavy hair in 2018. I have had this wand for 4 years now, but this is the first year that I actually learned how to use it properly with my hair. It definitely takes practice to master a curling wand, but it is worth it.

Goody Ouchless Elastic

Even though in 2018 I styled my hair more then ever, I also rocked a bun a lot too. I love the ouchless elastic hair bands. They do not break or pull at my hair. I also need a hair band that will stretch around a big bun without breaking and these ones last the longest.

I loved that styling my hair this year helped me feel better about myself. It is the little things in life that can make a huge difference. Along with hair products, I also discovered some really awesome makeup products in 2018.
